Theoretical background
History
The fact that electron have wave nature is expected thank you for L.V de broglie. At 1923, He suggested concept of matter wave and at 1927, C.J. Davison and L.H. Germer. They proof de brodglie’s theory by catching interference fringes from the crystal face of nickel.
Principle
The de Broglie relationship:


THE DE BROGLIE WAVELENGTH :
( is the final velocity of the electrons after being accelerated through a potential V. )

Bragg’s law : A wave diffracted by a crystal behaves as if it
were reflected off the planes of the crystal. Moreover there is an
outgoing diffracted wave only if the path length difference
between rays `reflected` off adjacent planes …(skip) are an integral
number of wavelengths. Thus considering a beam scattering off
two parallel planes of atoms as shown in figure.

Turn on and warm up the instrument.
